I tend to be pretty dominant in a relationship when it comes to day-to-day stuff but as a first date, I usually like to do something that my date is interested in so I can learn more about them. A first date should be memorable, since you only get one chance to get it right. On this first date there are no subjects that are taboo. This is the time to let each other see the inner person.Here is my idea of a first date: Spending an afternoon at the local Botanical gardens touring, chatting and taking pictures or videos of each other as these might be long term memories that need captured. If we like each others company, then a trip to your restaurant of choice, where we enjoy a nice meal, the ambiance and most importantly each other's company. If we still want to continue, then off to a play, musical, opera, symphony that we can get tickets at the venue or out dancing. And finally, go somewhere for a cup of coffee and more chatting or say good night, and reflect upon the day.

And after getting comfortable with each other and if the relationship grows, then we can have quiet nights snuggled up on the sofa watching movies and TV, nights on the town wearing tantalizing undergarments that only you and I are aware of, and spontaneous acts of romance that will make you see stars and feel like a princess.

My favorite date would involve some type of outdoors activity, ie. A sunset boat ride chasing the sun as it sets into Lake Michigan, snowboarding, dogsleding with my team of Siberian Huskies into the woods and camping out around a blazing fire. Or a romantic picnic on the top of a Lake Michigan sand dune

A nature walk is definitely in order and that's no good without a picnic lunch. But watch out for bears! There are plenty of them to see up there so be on the lookout and don't get too close. Just stick close by me and I'll keep you safe. Just about the time you think you are ready to wind down there is a beautiful sunset waiting to be seen from one of the many overlooks on the mountain. After all of this there is hot chocolate and maybe some private dancing under the stars
