This may sound odd, but go to a bar, listen to some music, have an appetizer, then ride around, listen to music and talk.

How about we sat together in an Mexican bar to have some drinks together and find out whether there is a spark between us that could turn into a fire?

My thoughts are first date should be no more than 2 hours, a couple of drinks and a chat. Get to know a bit and hopefully meet again soon. Build up slow.

Although I am not a coffee drinker, how about us meeting at Starbucks, have a drink and chat a little to get to know each other and take it from there.
Corner seats at a fun high end bar - restaurant that serves great appetizers. Just talk, laugh and get to know one another. Move on to a pool table, shuffle board or live music joint....

If it goes well, for the second date, I will probably recommend some kind of adventure :-) Life is for living. Normal is overrated.
On our hundredth date, I will be just as excited as I was on the first one. Yes, you can quote me on that.
